24 July 2019 – Ndengeza FC appointed Peace Khoza as their new Head Coach on Saturday, 20 July, handing him the job of trying to steer the Mopani-based giants to their first-ever Limpopo ABC Motsepe League title.

The former Nkowankowa Barcelona, Baobab Zero Fake, and Makoti Happy Fighters’ head coach is one of the few highly-rated local coaches in the Mopani region, owing much to his success in the SAFA Mopani SAB League over the years.

Peace won the last three Mopani SAB League titles with three different teams. He twice came short to securing a promotion to ABC League with Barcelona and Makoti but managed to secure a second division spot with Zero Fake in 2018.

He replaces Genola Mashele who left KaTika earlier this year in January following a series of unsatisfactory results.

Assistant coach, Calvin Hlungwane was then appointed the caretaker coach and managed to steer the club to safety when he guided them to a thirteenth-placed finish with 32 points, only one point above the relegation zone.

“The necessity to find a way back to our potential and to the divisions we expect ourselves to compete at in a few years cannot be underestimated,” Ndengeza chairman Akani Siweya told SAFA.net.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be able to welcome our next head coach. Peace brings in a wealth of experience with a track record of success that will provide excellent leadership for your players, both on and off the field. I’m excited to work with Peece as we continue to build and enjoy the success of this exciting team.”

Ndengeza is currently busy with their preparation of the 2019/2020 season and Khoza is looking forward to the challenge.

“I am incredibly excited by this appointment and I cannot wait to take the challenge on,” Khoza said.

“I firmly believe we have a talented group of players who can achieve success at this stage. I look forward to working with them and helping them to fulfil those ambitions.”
