19 July 2019 – Rock-bottom Tshandama Young Stars travels to the Shayandima High School Ground on Saturday, 20 July, to take on second-placed Shayandima Morning Stars Ladies for a Limpopo Sasol League Vhembe derby.

Shayandima Morning Stars Ladies forward Nthabiseng Matswi says it will be dangerous for her team if they take their Saturday visitors for granted and expect easy three points.

Despite their form and prospect of giving the title-favourites Ma-Indies Ladies a run for their money, Matswi isn’t getting ahead of herself.

“It is always difficult to face a local rival,” Matswi said. “It’s a derby, they are fighting relegation, so it’s obvious that they’ll come out fighting.”

“I know Tshandama well, they have enough quality. If you’re not organised and ready, they can punish you severely” said the forward.

Morning Stars suffered their first defeat of the campaign in their last outing when they fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of league leaders Ma-Indies Ladies, whom they trail with three points.

Tshandama is yet to collect a point in this campaign, they lost all their nine games, including a 5-0 home defeat Morning Stars seven months ago.
