18 July 2019 – The North West province will play host to the 2019 SAFA/SAB U21 League National Championships as 12 teams will battle it out for the title, won by University Sport South Africa (USSA) in 2018 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.

This year the competition will take place at the North West University Stadium in Mahikeng (group stages), with the semi-final and the final scheduled for the Montshioa Stadium.

The tournament runs from 29 July to 3 August.

Matches will kickoff at 09h00 – and entry is free.

The SAFA/SAB U21 League is South Africa’s largest and most successful grassroots football development league. The League is a hub for identification of players in South Africa.

It pits the provincial champions as well as a university select side against one another in a display of the finest grassroots football the country has on offer.

More details about the tournament will be released on Tuesday, 23 July when the draw is held in Mafikeng at a venue still to be confirmed.
