12 July 2019 – Executive Ladies are away to Red Roses Ladies this weekend at the Mt Ayliff Stadium and in search of the full three points which could take them to the summit of the Eastern Cape Sasol League Inland Stream.

Executives are fresh from a 0-0 draw against Eastern Rangers at home and will be chasing a win to bounce back to winning ways.

Executive Ladies have started the season well and currently occupy third place on the league table with 11 points from six games, two behind league leaders Red Roses and only one behind second-placed Ayakha Stars FC.

Thembeka Zoko, who is playing her third season with Executive Ladies said the team is ready to face Roses despite recent results.

“Yeah, we are ready for the trip to Roses and I know the girls will fight very hard to come back with the full three points. We did not do well against Rangers because we were wasteful in front of goal. We could have easily won 3-0 or 4-0 on another day. In my view, we will be better against Roses as we have noticed that scoring is an issue to us and we have worked on it throughout the week. The mission is to win and remain near the top of the log. We know they also want a win and ensure they are on top.”

Red Roses will be hoping to extend their winning streak which is currently at two by collecting all three valuable points.

Executive can go to the summit of the league table if they manage to beat log leaders and second-place Ayakha fails to win against Eluhweni Ladies.
