8 July 2019 – Croesus FC have finally caught up with log leaders, TUKS FC in the Gauteng Sasol Women’s League. While TUKS have a two game in-hand advantage, Croesus will be boosted by the fact that they have finally caught up with the title favourites and will be hoping they drop points in their next encounters.
With the SAFA Women’s League set to kick off later this year, it is every club’s dream to be playing in the highest league which will see Sasol League streams across the country being even more competitive.
Croesus’ impressive 3-0 win away from home to VUT was very impressive and has sent warning signals to their fellow title contenders who will be hoping to maintain their lead at the top when they face Palace Super Falcons who are yet to live up to their high expectations.
Falcons did however manage a slim 1-0 win over Luso Africa in what was only their win in 15 games.
Looking further down the table, Pull Together have been pulled apart in their maiden season of the Sasol League. Their 3-0 loss at home was their 14th defeat this season which sees them languish at the bottom of the Gauteng table.
The debutants will need to pull themselves together quite soon should they harbor any ambitions of playing in the Sasol League next season.
