6 June 2019 – Head coach of Banyana Banyana Desiree Ellis says the moment has arrived for her and her troops as they will play in their maiden World Cup tournament that kicks off on Friday, 7 June 2019.
But South Africa will only get into action a day later (Saturday, June 2019) when they face Spain at Stade Oceane in Le Havre in their opening match of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Kickoff is at 18h00.
Ellis has also thanked the nation for the support they have given to Banyana Banyana and called on them to continue as this is now THE moment.
