5 June 2019 – After nine rounds of matches, Luso Africa have raised their hands as the one of the team’s to watch in this year’s Gauteng Sasol League. Only separated by a single point from log leaders Tuks FC, Luso are hot on the trails of the title contenders in the early stages of the season.

Luso registered their eighth win of the season with a 4-1 thumping over Blue Birds FC. The result saw them equal the same number of victories as that of the log leaders which has set up a really exciting opening half of the season.

A number of key players across clubs in the Sasol League are currently in France for the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ which has forced a number of tactical changes in most clubs’ approach.

While its still early days, the likes of Palace Super Falcons will be worried to be finding themselves in unfamiliar territory. Disappointingly, Falcons have only won one of their eight encounters with the other fixtures being losses.

Pull Together have been pulled apart this season as they occupy bottom spot with zero points from eight fixtures while Lusaka Ladies managed just two draws and losing six.

More Gauteng Sasol League action is expected this coming weekend.
