3 June 2019 Banyana Banyana vice captain Refiloe Jane says the fans should not worry too much ahead of the start of the 2019 FIFA World Cup following South Africa’s 7-2 loss to Norway in an international friendly match on Sunday, 2 June in Amiens, France.

Desiree Ellis’ charges had a difficult day at the office against the Europeans, going into the half time break training 5-0.

But Jane says while they are disappointed by the results, they know they can do better. The midfielder was the captain in the absence of Janine van Wyk, who was nursing a niggling injury.

Banyana Banyana first match in the tournament is against Spain in Le Havre, France on Saturday, 8 June at Stade Oceane.
