2 June 2019 – Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis has named her starting 11 for the international friendly match against Norway, which takes place tonight (Sunday, 2 June 2019) at Stade Moulonguet in Amiens, France.

Kickoff is at 20h00.

The fixture is the last leg of preparations for the two countries ahead of the start of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Ellis has made several changes to the squad that started against the USA last month (12 May) in Santa Clara, California.

Andile Dlamini keeps her place in goals.

Bambanani Mbane comes in for captain Janine van Wyk in central defence, and will play alongside Noko Matlou. Lebohang Ramalepe and Nothando Vilakazi are the fullbacks.

In the middle of the park, Kholosa Biyana will partner with the captain of the day Refiloe Jane.

Amanda Mthandi retains her place, while Linda Motlhalo and Thembi Kgatlana, who missed last month’s fixture due to club commitments, get a start, together with Ode Fulutudilu.

Sibulele Holweni, Rhoda Mulaudzi and Jermaine Seoposenwe – who all started against the USA – are on the bench.

Six players have not been considered for this encounter – Van Wyk, Mamello Makhabane, Leandra Smeda and goalkeeper Kaylin Swart – all have niggling injuries, while Nompumelelo Nyandeni and Ongeziwe Ndlangisa are the standby players.
