30 May 2019 – South Africa’s National Under-20 (Amajita) side held their final training session at TS Rekord’s training grounds in Bielsko Biala, Poland leading up to their final 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup Group F match against Portugal.

That match will take place on Friday at the Bielsko-Biala Stadium at 20h30.

Amajita midfielder Thabiso Monyane spoke highly of how their preparations went, adding that they are now ready for the battle that is up ahead.

“We have been working really hard in training and the boys are fired up to push for a positive result in our final group match,” Monyane said. “This is the same mindset we had for our previous group game against Korea Republic, however, things did not go our way.”

Monyane added that their focus has now shifted on to their final group match, stating that they will give it their best push in that clash.

“We just need to shift our focus into the next game and apply ourselves to the best of our abilities to push for a positive result in this final group encounter,” Monyane said.

Meanwhile, Amajita coach Thabo Senong stated his side will approach the match with the intention of winning it, adding that he will also give other players a run to feature in their final Group F game.

“Our training session went really well,” Senong said. “We are going to make a few changes in our squad for our last group game against Portugal. This is because we want to give our other players a run as well. We will approach this match as professionally as possible with the intention of winning it.”
