23 March 2019 – The South African Senior Men’s National Team (Bafana Bafana) Head Coach believes that the team is fully prepared to face Libya in the last group E qualifier match of the 2019 CAF Total African Cup of Nations qualifier tomorrow night, in Sfax Tunisia at 18h00 local time (19h00 SA time).

Bafana Bafana will hold their last training session this evening at Stade Taieb Mhiri, in Sfax, Tunisia and Head Coach Baxter believes that the players will need to be physically and mentally prepared.

“We have had a good week of training and believe that the players are ready for this encounter. We will have to ensure that we use our last 60 minutes of training to polish up the tactical work we have been planning for all week,” said Baxter.

“It will all be a matter of mental fitness and readiness, because all the preparations have already been done.

We will have to ensure that the players are comfortable and confident going into this encounter, so that they are not side-tracked by the crowd and the pressure of the match. We want them to maintain composure during the game but also still be able to express themselves,” said the Bafana Bafana coach..

South Africa will take on Libya on Sunday in Sfax at 18:00 (19h00 SA time).
