South Africa played four matches in Cyprus – managing only one draw and lost three games – and finished in 10thposition out of 12 nations.

Banyana Banyana have been drawn against Spain, Germany and China in the World Cup.

The squad returns home on Friday, 8 March but will be without Van Wyk, Thembi Kgatlana and Linda Motlhalo.

Van Wyk and Kgatlana will be in Paris to attend a Nike event, while Motlhalo is going to report at her new club in China, Beijing BG Phoenix, where she will be joined by Kgatlana later.
