5 March 2019 – Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana gets a second bite of the cherry when they come face to face with Finland in the last match of the 2019 Cyprus Women’s Cup.

The two nations will battle for the 9th and 10th spot.

The clash takes place on Wednesday, 6 March 2019 at the Tassos Markou Stadium in Paralimni.

Kickoff is at 11h00.

Banyana Banyana and Finland are meeting for the second time in the tournament – they played each other in the opening clash, with ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

Both countries went on to lose their following matches – South Africa were beaten by Korea DPR (4-1) and the Czech Republic (2-1), while Finland also couldn’t get past the Czech Republic (2-1) and Korea DPR (1-0).

Banyana Banyana finished bottom of Group A, with Finland occupying the third spot – both a point each.

This will be the third meeting between the two nations – their first was in the 2015 edition of the Cyprus Cup, with the Europeans emerging victorious 2-1.
