1 March 2019 – The ABC Motsepe Leagues across the country are heading towards conclusion and most of the title contenders are going head to head for the valuable three points this week.

It is show-time in Limpopo, Northern Cape, North West, Western Cape and Gauteng this weekend, with mouth-watering fixtures.

Arguably the most awaited fixture of this weekend, Berachah Valley vs Madritas is the highlight of the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League week 19.

Both Caphus Lesufi and Joel Mongalo have been relying on the flexible 4-3-3 formation so far, and the results have been good. With the high pressing a feature of both teams, it will be an interesting battle in which both teams will try to out-press the other on the pitch.

In the City of Gold, league leaders Baberwa who just halted their winless run at five following a 2-1 win over M.Tigers a week ago will travel to Alexandra Stadium to take on fifth-placed Alexandra United on Friday.

With second and third-placed JDR Stars and Dondol Stars having closed the gap to the league leader over past few weeks, any slip-up today by Baberwa will see them surrender their top spot.

The North West province has a mouth-watering clash on the cards as two in-form sides, Allys Tigers and Buya Msuthu fight it out at Giant Stadium on Saturday. The two teams played to a 1-1 draw two weeks ago.

In Stream B of the Northern Cape, Colville United showed they mean business as well in the Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League when they thrashed Olifantshoek 4-2 last weekend and will be gunning for the second spot when they host second-placed N.C. Liverpool at the AR Abass Stadium on Saturday, 2 March.

Down in the Mother City, Second-placed The Magic have been able to maintain a touching distance between them and the league leaders and reigning champions Steenberg United reduced the gap to four points with a 7-0 thrashing of the relegation-threatened Jomo Powers in a midweek outstanding fixture.

The Magic will be hoping for a similar showing on Saturday, 2 March when they welcome Glendene United at the Old Mutual Stadium in Cape Town. On the same day, a classic clash will take place in Faure Road when the bottom of the table sides Jomo Powers and Mbekweni Cosmos square off for the three points to aid in avoiding the axe.
