27 February 2019 – Head coach of Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana Desiree Ellis, says she is happy with the result her charges got against Finland in the first match of the 2019 Cyprus Women’s Cup, but was not impressed with the performance, adding that a lot of improvement is needed.

South Africa came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with the Europeans with goals from Leandra Smeda (penalty) and second half substitute Thembi Kgatlana.
