25 February 2019 – With teams left with only about 13 games to play this season in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League, the race to secure a place in the 2019 National Promotional Playoffs keeps getting hotter with each passing week.

The top six teams which are currently in the title race and separated by a mere six points continued with their strides to the title with each securing maximum points over the weekend.

MadritasPolokwane United and Magesi mauled their opponents with heavy-score defeats to better their respective goal difference tallies which are very likely to be decisive at the end of the season.

Madridtas marched to a 5-1 victory at home against Polokwane Academy to stay two points in the lead, with Molatelo Moholwa scoring his first hattrick of the season. Martin Nsimbi and Robert Mogale were also on target for the league leaders.

Second-placed Polokwane United extended their winning streak to five after a 4-0 win at bottommost Giyani Hotspurs.

The captain and star forward Thabiso Lesia continued with his fine form in front of goal with two long-range goals before Shocky Makola showed-off his blistering pace and strong upper body strength with a brilliant solo-goal which ensured Bally Smart goes to halftime with a 3-0 lead.

Nakedi Chipu completed a riot over the Mopani region-based giants with a sweetly struck half volley from outside the box in the second half to make it 4-0.

Magesi maintained their fourth position on the table with an impressive 4-1 victory over  Ndengeza to hand the caretaker coach Calvin Hlungwane his third defeat since taking over Genola Mashele.

Mikhado FC and Barracah Valley also managed to stay in touch with their title rivals with victories over Mighty and Ditlou respectively on Friday, 22 February.
