22 February 2019 – The Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor, Honourable Mzwandile Masina invited Masters And Legends in Ekurhuleni to honour and recognize the contribution of Nelson Teenage Dladla towards the development of Football in South Africa.
South African Masters and Legends Football Association president, Buddha Mathathe was amongst some of the legends who were invited which included, Isaac Shai, Clement Mazibuko, Bashin Mahlangu, Pollen Ndlanya, Collen Tlemo, Humphrey Mlwane, Patrick Twala, Lebogang Kukame, Jerry Skhosana, Zebulon Sputla Nhlapo, Dance Malete, Nhlanhla Kubheka amongst others.
The legendary Dladla, famous for his dribbling skills and jersey number 11 at Kaizer Chiefs is one of many legends that hail from the Ekurhuleni municipality.
