15 February 2019 – Bafana Bafana coach, Stuart Baxter recently held a briefing session with the media, to update them on his plans for the final qualifying match against Libya, later in March.
Baxter and SAFA complimented the National Soccer League (NSL) for their support towards SAFA and Bafana Bafana, when the NSL conceded to a request from SAFA to make some changes to the fixtures schedule, which would allow Baxter to have between one and two days extra with the players.
SAFA also needs to point out that in terms of the match venue, date and time, SAFA will only know this detail on the 20th February, in terms of the CAF regulations (see CAF circular).
In addition, it is important to note as per the circular from CAF, that as is the case with all final matches, CAF has the final say on the actual date / time of these matches.
