29 January 2019 – With Western Cape ABC Motsepe League club, The Magic FC being the only SAFA club remaining in the Nedbank Cup, all eyes will be on club when they take on National First Division side, Maccabi FC at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Maccabi know everything about ABC Motsepe League clubs, having recently graduated from the Gauteng leg last season. Currently in their first year in the NFD, the club is presently in 10th position and working hard to maintain their NFD status.

With the NFD title to their name, Maccabi come into the match as favourites with their new man on the helm, Joel Masutha who recently parted ways with Premier Soccer League side, Chippa United.

The Magic on the other hand are making their second appearance in the Nedbank Cup following their Round of 32 exit at the hands of Bidvest Wits back in the 2014/15 season.

Founded in 2012 by former Bafana Bafana and Hellenic player, George Dearnaley the Pinelands based club has produced a number of footballers who have went on to play professionally.

They currently occupy third spot in the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League and are mathematically still in reach for a top finish should Steenberg United drop points.

A recent 2-1 victory over Ajax Cape Town has also boosted their confidence ahead of this important fixture.

Former Limpopo ABC Motsepe League club, Baroka FC will also be in action at the same time this evening against Jomo Cosmos in the other Round of 32 Nedbank Cup clash.

Kick off at the Dobsonville Stadium will be at 19h30 this evening.
