29 January 2019 – Victor Gomes will handle this Saturday’s (2 February 2019) CAF Champions League game between TP Mazembe of DRCongo and Club Africain of Tunisia in Lumbumbashi.
The match will be played at 15h00.
Gomes will be assisted by veteran assistant referee Zakhele Siwela and Athenkosi Ndongeni while Eugene Nkosinathi Mdluli will be the fourth assistant.
Celestin Ntagungira and Gaspard Kayijuka will work as referee assessor and match commissioner respectively.
SAFA’s head of referees, Tenda Masikhwa said the fact that CAF continue to entrust top games to ‘our match officials is an endorsement of trust that we continue to produce some of the best officials on the continent.’
Masikhwa said SAFA had recently appointed some exciting young and upcoming officials who will be the future stars of tomorrow.
