24 January 2019 – Bazingeli Rovers continued with their fine form in the Brakpan LFA Super League as they collected their eighth straight win in as many games. The log leaders comfortable cruised past 10th placed Rekaofela Express 4-1 away from home to stretch their lead at the top to five points from Verbal warning who are second.
Elco Santos, who have played a game extra than the top two teams narrowly won their weekend encounter against Amazababa FC in a high scoring 4-3 victory.
Santos are now on 18 points from six wins and three draws. They will be hoping to continue securing maximum points in their next matches starting with this weekend’s clash against The Hour Stars on Sunday.
Hour Stars on the other hand have had a difficult season and are hoping things will be a lot better in the new year. The club is rooted at the bottom of the table with a mere point from eight losses and a single draw they obtained from Rekaofela Express which was an entertaining 3-3 stalemate.
