17 January 2019 – It’s been more than a year since Banyana Banyana forward Rhoda Mulaudzi was in the national team set up, and now she is back in the squad to fight for her place as the team prepares for the upcoming 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in June in France.

During her absence, she made a move to Australia where she is on the books of Canberra United, alongside Banyana Banyana vice captain Refiloe Jane. The duo arrived this week to join their compatriots in Cape Town where they will face the Netherlands and Sweden in two international friendly matches.

South Africa plays Netherlands on Saturday, 19 January at 15h00, and then take on Sweden on Tuesday, 22 January 2019 at 19h00. Both matches will take place at the Cape Town Stadium.

Mulaudzi talks to SAFA Media about her return to the squad, her new life and Australia and facing the two top footballing nations.
