22 December 2018– Sixty-nine goals have so far been scored in 28 games of the KwaMahlobo Festive Games currently underway in Meadowlands Zone 10, Soweto.

With seven matches a day, Day 2 saw the highest scoring rate with 24 goals registered on the day. On Day 1, there were goals, 14 on Day 3 and just one more was added on Day 4 – bringing the total to 69.

There have been at least one drawn match each day.

In total, seven clashes ended in a stalemate since Day 1 – five of them ending in a 1-1 score line, and only fixtures where there were no goals.

LNB Tax FC has so far scored the highest number of goals in a game when they defeated Meadowlands Rangers 4-0 on Day 3 (Friday, 21 December)

The tournament continues on Sunday, 23 December 2018 (Day 5) as the competition heads into the business section where only two teams from each of the eight groups will proceed to the knockout stage.

There will be no matches on Christmas Day and on New Year’s Day (25 December 2018 and 1 January 2019).

The final will be played on Saturday, 5 January 2019.
