23 November 2018 –ABC Motsepe League sides Umvoti FC and Orbit College will lock horn this Saturday (24 November 2018) at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in pursuit of fighting to become the eighth team to represent SAFA Leagues in this season’s Nedbank Cup last 32 fixtures.

The match will kick-off at 15h00.

According to the rulebook of the country’s premier cup competition, only eight teams from both SAFA leagues and the National First Division; are required to help make up the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.

The confirmation of those teams are done through a playoff format, where teams in SAFA league structures are to play against other until they have one provincial representative for the cup competition.

And because South Africa has nine provinces and only eight teams are required by the Premier Soccer League for the cup competition, KwaZulu-Natal’s Umvoti FC and North West representative Orbit College; were drawn against each other in a Nedbank Cup mini playoff draw which took place earlier this year to confirm the final fixture of the play offs.

Winners on this matchup will automatically qualify for this season’s Nedbank cup competition.
