17 November 2018 – Head coach of the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana is confident that her charges will finally clinch the elusive FIFA Women’s World Cup spot that has evaded them for a long time. Ellis was speaking ahead of the much-anticipated clash against Nigeria in the first match of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations that will be staged in Ghana. South Africa are in Group B along with the Super Falcons, Equatorial Guinea and Zambia. The former Banyana Banyana captain is the only surviving coach from the 2016 edition of the tournament – and only one of two female coaches in the competition, along with Algeria.
