5 November 2018 – The South African U17 Women’s national team players believe they have settled well in Uruguay ahead of the start of the 2018 U17 FIFA Women’s World Cup and their friendly against the hosts will be an opportunity to measure themselves against the best of the best.

The match will be played at Estadio Parque Capurro, Fenix on Monday 5 November with kick off set for 17h00 local time which will be 22h00 in South Africa.

Midfield dynamo Karabo Dhlamini believes Uruguay will give them a competitive test because they are at home and also preparing for the big tournament.

“Since both teams qualified for the World Cup we must not get to carried away and think since we beat other teams we can easily beat them too. It all depends on the team they put out there. To our fans at home I would like to say thank you and urge them to keep supporting us” said Dhlamini.

Nimble-footed winger, Miche Minnies is brimming with confidence ahead of the Monday friendly and expects to bang goals for the tea.

“I am very excited about the match and want to score goals. More importantly, we want to win the match together. said Miche.
