3 October 2018– After a 15-hour travel, Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana have safely arrived in Santiago, the capital of Chile.

The South Africans are in the country to play two international friendly matches with the host nation.

This will be the first ever meeting between the two nations.

Only 19 players travelled from All the players The fist clash will take place on Saturday, 6 October 2018 at Estadio Sausalito in Vina del Mar – Chile’s fourth largest city.

Kickoff is at 18h30 local time (23h30 South African time).

South Africans will have to stay up until the early hours of the morning for the results of the second match – moved from 22h00 to 03h00 South African time (from 17h00 to 22h00 local time).

It will be played on Tuesday, 9 October at Estadio Santa Laura in Santiago.

Banyana Banyana return home on Thursday, 11 October.

The matches are part of preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament scheduled for November in Ghana. The competition also serves as qualifiers for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers to be played in France in June.
