27 September 2018 – Referee Victor Gomes will have a busy month of October with CAF assigning him on two tough fixtures on 16 and 23 October 2018.

First, Gomes is off to Malawi where he will handle the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the hosts and Cameroon.

The match will take place at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre and kicks off at 14h30 on 16 October 2018.

The no-nonsense official will be assisted by Zakhele Siwela and John Van Wyk Mervyn who will be his assistant referees.

Thando Ndzandzeka will be the fourth official.

On 23 October, Gomes is off to Algeria where he has been entrusted to officiate the Champions League semi-final match between ES Setif of Algeria and Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly. The match will be played at Setif Stade and kicks off at 20h00.

In this encounter, Gomes will be assisted by Siwela and Johannes Moshidi while Victor Hlungwani will be the fourth official.

SAFA’s General Manager, Football Business Russell Paul will be the General Coordinator.
