22 September 2018 – I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of former Minister of Environmental Affairs, Edna Molewa.
I was informed not long ago about her being in and out of hospital but never expected her to pass away at such a relatively young age.
I want to offer my deepest condolences to her family and friends and all those who knew her.
Comrade Molewa was one of the most dedicated political leaders. She always stood firm in their convictions.
This is a huge loss for the new South Africa and the many communities she worked with.
South Africa has lost another giant who dedicated her life towards an equal South Africa. May her soul rest in peace.
