The log leaders top the standings with 54 points, separated by just a mere point from second placed Lindelani Ladies who have played a game extra.
Both sides were in action on Monday, 10 September and registered convincing victories in both their respective matches. Lindelani thrashed White City 4-1 in a one-sided affair while Durban Ladies were away to Sunflower FC and came out victorious with a 2-0 win.
Even with a game to spare, the log leaders are fully aware that anything less than a win in their next fixture against sixth placed Tottenham Ladies will see fellow title chasers, Lindelani capitalising on their slip.
Lindelani are also preparing to face the unpredictable UKZN in what promises to be a thrilling encounter as the season reaches fever pitch.
Barcelona FC are not to be ruled out of the title race just yet. Mathematically, the much-improved Barcelona’s title hopes are still alive with just six points separating them from the log leaders.
Their next match against MUBS Ladies who have recently escaped the relegation battle should be smooth-sailing however, with how unpredictable the KZN Sasol League has been this season, anything is possible.
