11 September 2018 – Legendsand kids spent some fun time on the pitch on Saturday (8 September 2018) to show support for Bafana Bafana in the rain. This was part of a programme to drive interest in football at pre-school age to inspire future players.

The first of these activations took place at eThekwini’s Moses Mabhida stadium, ahead of Bafana Bafana’s AFCON qualifier against Libya.

Bafana Bafana have new-found fans after young kids were introduced to players and legends and wearing the “Come Show Your Love” for Bafana Bafana t-shirts.

Whilst the kids did not get to do the drills on the pitch because of the pouring rain, they got to meet players, spent time with the legends, got their faces painted, received supporter t-shirt as well as match tickets for their parents/guardians.

Former Bafana Bafana and international players, David Nyathi and Macbeth Sibaya, were there to spend time with the kids for the initiative “We Are Legends 4 Kids”, which seeks to get the little ones engaged with our national team and hopefully play for Banyana Banyana or Bafana Bafana in the future.
