7 September 2018 – LaLiga’s African director, Antonio Barradas was the guest of honour at the COSAFA Extraordinary Congress that took place in the East Rand in Johannesburg on Friday, 7 September 2018.

Barradas who has developed several working relationships with various African FAs was introduced to 14 COSAFA member states by President, Phillip Chiyangwa.

The COSAFA President said through Barradas, LaLiga was doing great things on the continent and requested the COSAFA Presidents present to join hands in working with LaLiga.

Barradas made a short presentation in which he explained what LaLiga’s programmes on the continent are and how he would like to develop cooperation with most of the FAs in Africa.

LaLiga has various projects on the continent which include the Pass-the-Ball project; a range of exchange programmes and women’s football among others.
