3 September 2018 – Bloemfontein Celtic continue dominating Free State football and are well on course to defending their Free State Sasol League title. The reigning champions played host to Tsunami Queens who were high on confidence following their 3-0 win over Grassland Ladies.

However, they were no match for the Free State giants who cruised past them with the very same scoreline to extend their lead to five points over second placed Queens. This was the perfect opportunity for Queens to reduce the gap between themselves and Celtic, but the result now sees the title gradually going back to the city of roses.

Meanwhile, two exciting fixtures also took place on Sunday, 2 September as Black Urban FC welcomed Tumahole FC in a relegation battle match up which saw the hosts come out victorious with a 2-0 scoreline.

Ayebush did the unthinkable on the same day when they surprised fourth placed Ace Milan FC with a shock 2-0 victory to move further away from the relegation dagger.

The Free State Sasol League action continues this coming weekend with Kovsies FC looking to continue piling on the misery on 15th placed Happy Ladies while Nigol FC have a momentous task against the high-flying Celtic.

Mamello Ladies are also looking at breaking into the top half of the table and will be hoping to do that at the expense of Grassland Ladies who are just above them.
