21 August 2018 – Butterfly Ladies FC put up a very impressive second-half performance to earn a 4-1 victory over TUT Mbombela Ladies FC in a Sasol League Mpumalanga match on Sunday, 20 August.

Charlotte Ngobeni, Pupela Mamphasha and Kedibone Ngomane played their part as goal-scorers for Butterfly in the second half after going into the break leading 1-0 to earn an easy win at TUT Ground in Mbombela.

It didn’t take long for Butterfly to grab the lead, with Refiloe Mhlaule scoring in the sixth minute with Mamphasha sending the ball to Kedibone Ngomane, who smartly tapped it into an open net.

The one-sided affair finally led to more goals in the second half as the floodgates opened with three goals in less than 15 minutes.

Ngomane found the head of Charlotte Ngobeni for the visitors’ second before Mamphasha capped her fine display with a close-range finish from a lose-ball inside the box.

TUT got as a result of mistake by the defence and a great chip from Innocent Khoza. It was 4-1 on the stroke of full-time thanks to Ngomane, who headed home from close range at the far post after a superb ball from a short corner.

The results meant Butterfly stays 8 points behind leaders Nkomazi Ladies FC after 8 games, whilst TUT Ladies are remain in 6th position.
