15 August 2018 –The South African Football Association’s (SAFA) referee instructor, Jerome Demon, will serve as a Referee Assessor in a CAF Confederations Cup group stage clash between Uniao Desportiva do Songo and Al Masry Club this coming Sunday, 19 August 2018.

The second leg tie between the two sides will take place at Beira Stadium in Mozambique at 15h00. The Mozambique side suffered a 2-0 defeat in the first leg against the Egyptian side in Port Said in May.

UD Songo are yet to register a win in Group B; they have so far managed two draws and have lost twice in their last four outings while  Al Masry top the group standings having tasted no defeat in their last four matches.

Damon has been tasked with the responsibility of overseeing the performance of the match officials.

The match will be handled by Malian referee Mahamadou Keita while his two assistants will be Yahaya Mahamadou and Baba Yomboliba. Harouna Coulibaly with be the fourth official.
