15 August 2018 – Reigning Free State Sasol League champions, Bloemfontein Celtic suffered a shock first season defeat this past weekend at the hands of third placed CUT Ladies in a thrilling 3-2 encounter that went the way of CUT.

Celtic have been on an unbeaten run since the start of the season, but this was cut short by a relentless CUT Ladies on Saturday in a historic win over the Free State giants which. The loss saw Tsunami Queens capitalising on the result when they put Mamello Ladies to the sword with a 5-1 thrashing to keep the pressure on the champions.

Black Urban FC suffered their 13th loss of the season when they were handed a 3-0 beating by Grassland Ladies who have put up a good showing this season.Napoli were also on the receiving end when Simunye Ladies came back from behind to register a hard fought 2-1 win over the visitors, a result that sees them remain in 11th place after 19 matches.

Looking at this weekend fixtures, the wounded Celtic will be hoping to redeem themselves at the expense of Black Urban FC while the high in confidence CUT Ladies will be hoping to carry on where they left off when the hostAyebush Ladies this on Sunday.
