Burger-King sponsored South Africa’s national Under-20 (Amajita) booked their place into next year’s 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations set to take place in Niger after beating Malawi 2-0 in their own back yard in Lilongwe, Malawi on Saturday.

Both sides played to a 0-0 draw in their first leg meeting a week ago back in South Africa, where coach Thabo Senong’s charges demonstrated nothing pure class in their defensive third. In that matchup, Amajita created plenty of scoring opportunities too, however, lady luck was not on their side in seeing them converting those goal scoring opportunities.

This was not the case in this matchup, however. Amajita scored a goal in each stanza of this crucial encounter. The first one to register his name onto the score sheet was Kobamelo Kodisang. The stocky Bidvest Wits attacking midfielder simply guided the ball into the back of the net with an easy tap-in, following a sweet cross from teammate Thabiso Monyane on the far side.

In the second period of the match, Monyane wrapped things up with a powerful shot inside the box, following a well weighted pass from teammate Nkosingiphile Ngcobo inside the 18-yard area.

Ngcobo came in as a forced substitute in the first period of the match, after injured attacking midfielder Promise Mkhuma, was forced to make for his teammate just 34 minute of the match.
