16 July 2018 – Team Limpopo is ready for their SAB U21 National Championship set to take place in KwaZulu-Natal from 17 to 22 July, according to the team’s Assistant Coach Peace Khoza.

The team has arrived in the Zulu Kingdom for the SAB U21 National Championship which is scheduled to take place at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban.

Head coach, Jomo Mabotja and his team travelled to KZN after their warm-up match against Supersport United reserve side whom they’ve defeated 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane.

“So far, everything is going well. We’re focusing on the opening game against USSA because we know how difficult it will be. We’ve seen it in the past seasons that this tournament is never easy, but we’ll do our best to get into the semi-finals. Everyone is focused and we want to get off to a flying start by building momentum which will carry us all the way.” said Khoza.

Limpopo were drawn in Group B alongside the 2016 champions USSA, Western Cape, Northwest and the Eastern Cape Province.

After meeting USSA in the opener of Group B matches on Tuesday, 17 July at 09h00, they meet Western Cape later on the same day at 15h30.

They will then play North West on Wednesday at 13h30 before they conclude their group stage fixtures against Eastern Cape the following day at 13h00.
