10 July 2018 – Following another successful season of South Africa’s largest football development league, the South African Football Association in partnership with proud sponsors, SAB launched and conducted the draw of the SAB U21 National Championships set to take place at the King Zwelithini Stadium from 17 to 22 July.

Northern Cape kick off the tournament against Mpumalanga who will be hoping to finally lift the title that has eluded them over the past years having finished on two occasions. A simultaneous fixture will see 2016 champions, USSA taking on the unpredictable Limpopo who were a marvel to watch as hosts two years ago in Polokwane.

Three time winners, Free State take on current holders, Gauteng at 11h00 in what promises to be an exciting encounter while Western Cape plays hosts to North West on the other field at the same time.The hosts will finally take to the field at 13h30 when they take on Northern Cape. The hosts will be banking on the home support of uMlazi township and know that anything less than a win would be a bad start as hosts.

USSA returns to the field at 13h30 on the same day for a clash against Eastern Cape who are yet to live up to their high expectations as one of the most talented provinces in the country.

The last two fixtures of the day will see Mpumalanga taking on Free State at 15h30 while Limpopo faces Western Cape on field B.

Top finishers in both groups will secure a place in the semi-finals of the competitions with the finals set to take place on 22 July.
