Sundowns thrashed a hapless Blue Birds 4-1 in their own backyard on Sunday while their rivals, TUT FC edged Nicco Tairus FC 4-3 in a nail-biting affair in Pretoria. A result which keeps the log leaders with a healthy five-point lead at the top.
Two other important fixtures took place on Saturday, 7 July as a highly spirited Springs Home Sweepers overcame a resilient Palace Super Falcon with a 2-1 victory for their 8th win of the season.Hallelujah Zebra Force had a tough encounter against Blue Birds as they forced a hard fought 1-0 win over the visitors to move further away from the drop.
