28 June 2018 – Ngwaabe City Motors carries the hope of Sekhukhune Region on their shoulders as the region looks up to them to add to the only representative the region has in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League.

The region only has Ditlou FC as its solo representative in the South African third tier of football after buying the status of Mopani region based Bellevue Winnerspark at the commencement of 2017/2018 season.

City Motors won the Inter-Regional Playoffs last week topping a mini-league tournament contested by the winners of each of the three streams in the Sekhukhune SAB League.

Inexperience at a tournament of this magnitude may be a fact worthy worrying about for the fans of Sekhukhune football since it’ll be the first time City Motors appears in the Provincial Playoff but their head coach Polony Masha is very confident he has a squad capable of making the region proud in the playoffs in Nkowankowa.

“There’s no any other better time than now for us to represent the region,” Mash said confidently. “We have the best squad we have ever assembled, we dominated Sekhukhune and now its time we dominate the province.”

City Motors won SAFA Sekhukhune SAB League Stream B comfortably, losing once in 30 games and winning the league with 5 games to spare. They finished 18 points ahead of second placed Matsebeng Real Hearts. They were joined in the inter regional playoffs by Stream C winners Rocks FC and Stream A champions Underground FC who they finished tied on points with in the inter regional playoffs.

They will kick-off their Provincial Playoffs campaign against Vhembe champions, Tshakhuma RO na Ndilani at 10h00 before they lock horns with Phalala Giant Killers who will be representing Waterberg on Saturday, June 30.

They will conclude their campaign the following day when they meet the hosts Baobab Zero Fake FC at 10h00 and either of Brazil FC or Simple Yellows FC who are still battling in the DC to hear who will represent the region.
