20 June 2018 – The Gauteng Sasol League title chase is fast becoming an interesting battle between the two Tshwane rivals, TUT Football Club and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies. Led by their Banyana Banyana vice-captain, Refilwe Jane, TUT have been in fine form this season. After 11 rounds of fixtures, they are yet to lose or draw a match which sees them top the table with an impressive 33 points.

Their crosstown rivals on the other hand have played a game less but lost to their rivals in a thrilling encounter played at the UJ Stadium last month. They also drew against TUKS in a high scoring 3-3 match up this past weekend which saw them lose grip on their title as the reigning champions. The log leaders won’t be in action this coming weekend due to them participating in a Girls Tournament in Vila Real, Spain. Their rivals face fifth placed JVW FC who can cause another upset should the likes of Banyana Banyana stars, Gabriela Salgado and Nompumelelo Nyandeni continue the rich form displayed lately.

Tuks face the unpredictable Rosina Sedibane Modiba Sports School away from home this afternoon in what promises to be a tough encounter as Rosina look to move away from the dreadful relegation zone.
