20 June 2018 – Bloemfontein Celtic are proving to be a very difficult side to stop in the Free State Sasol Women’s League with an impressive 10-match unbeaten streak. Siwelele are now four points clear of second placed Tsunami Queens as the season reaches fever pitch.

Anything less than a victory for Tsunami against third placed Kovsies will see Celtic stretch their lead even further as they face bottom of the log A to Z Gunners in what should be a walk in the park for the reigning champions.

Kovsies on the other hand are on a high following their 2-0 victory over Ace Milan which saw them move up to third place. Mamello Ladies registered the same scoreline over Tumahole Ladies, a result that moves them away from the dreadful relegation battle.

Tumahole have been disappointing this season and find themselves third from the bottom with just a single win and a draw from nine matches. One other interesting match up to look out for this weekend will be between Nigol FC and Napoli.

Both teams suffered disappointing defeats this past weekend and will be hoping to pick up crucial points in their upcoming encounter

Sunday’s clash between Simunye Ladies and Mamello Ladies is also another encounter fans will certainly enjoy.

Simunye are knocking at the door of the top three and know that victory this weekend could shoot them straight to third position provided Kovsies slip up against Tsunami but they will have to give it their all against a strong Mamello Ladies side who are oozing with confidence following their 2-0 win over Tumahole.
