12 June 2018 – The last 8 games for the ongoing u17 Northern Cape Solar Youth Cup have now all been moved to Kimberley in a concerted effort to build up to the finals this coming weekend.
The last 8 matches of the tournament were scheduled to take place in John Taolo Gaetsewe but according to tournament organiser, Willy Motlogelwa, the all remaining games will now be played in Kimberley, culminating into the finals on Sunday, 17 June 2018 at Galeshewe stadium.
“It was in the best interest of the tournament to move the remaining games to Kimberley. We want to make the final a real blast and we can only do so by having a proper build-up.
“We expect a bumper crowd and to enjoy this youth tournament. This is the biggest football tournament in the Northern Cape and we don’t want to leave anything to chance,” added Motlogelwa.
The tournament is being organised by the Northern Cape Province in association with SAFA and LaLiga and is being sponsored by Sishen Solar Facility and Kathu Solar Park.
