1 June 2018 – Buya Msuthu are feeling like the most prepared team at the SAFA ABC Motsepe League National Play offs that will start in Turfloop on Monday, 4 June.

This is because part of Buya Msuthu’s preparation matches included a high intensity practice match against the Bafana Bafana side that is in Polokwane for the COSAFA Cup.

Msuthu may have lost that match 3-0, but their coach Kabelo Sibiya believes his boys will take the experience and pointers from that match to the play-offs.

The North West side begin their campaign against Free State champions Tornado.

“We have been here in Polokwane for two weeks now and that period saw us play a number of practice matches. We played and won 3-0 against Moria Sweepers, who are playing ABC Motsepe League in Limpopo. But the main game that has helped us prepare and helped our confidence is the one against Bafana Bafana,” Sibiya said.

“We had most of the ball and Bafana coach Stuart Baxter actually congratulated us for the way we play. I think that experience will help us a lot for the play-offs. The tactics, awareness, structure and the intensity helped us. We should be sharper and stronger against Tornado,”said the Buya Msuthu coach.

Msuthu played in last year’s play-offs but could not make it to the final. They have lost over half of their starting team and brought in new players.
