16 May 2018 – A rampant Royal Stars side has clinched the SAB Regional League Stream B in the Lejweleputswa Region. None of the teams could match Royal Stars’ consistency that saw them put together a total of 61 points from 28 games in their 15-team league.
These came as a result of Stars winning 19 of their 28 games, drawing on four occasions and losing just five matches. But none of the teams in the league will be as heartbroken as Sporting Club, who could only settle for second spot in a rather heart-breaking manner.
Sporting finished with just a point behind Royal Stars. The team won 18 games, drew six matches and lost four of their matches all season.
More of the league’s story is at the bottom, where three clubs proved to have had huge difficulties this season. Monyakeng United finished bottom of the log in a rather embarrassing manner, losing a whopping 19 matches, drawing five matches, and recording wins on five occasions.
All Monyakeng have to show for the long season is 20 points.
Naughty Boys and Nyakallong Everlon were also not far off, having both finished 14th and 13th respectively with 21 points each.
Naughty Boys won six matches all season, losing 19 times and drawing just three, while Nyakallong lost 17 times, drew six times, with victories coming on five occasions.
