15 May 2018 – There were big results recorded in the Sasol League in North West, where just two of the seven fixtures alone produced a total of 20 points. The most impressive was at Gopane Cover Ground on Saturday, where Royal Queens thrashed Gopane Ladies 10-0.

Winning with such a heavy score is not surprising, but to pull off such a result away from home proved to be incredible. The other result to produce 10 goals was between Fiorentina and We Can Ladies.

There was very little that We Can could do to stop a red hot Fiorentina, who scored 10 unanswered goals.

But Fiorentina’s big win could only take them to 10th on the log with four points from four matches. The team at the top of the log is ALS PUK Tawana, who won 2-0 against Rustenburg Ladies last week.

Tawana are now on 18 points after winning their opening six matches. The log leaders scored a massive 54 goals, letting in just three.

Second behind Tawana is Royal Queens, whose win over Gopane Ladies took them to 15 points from six games. That means they won five matches, losing one and scoring 51 goals in the process.

De’ Scorpio, just like Royal Queens, are unbeaten, having won their opening four matches, sitting third on the log with 12 points.

De’ Scorpio’s four victory, a 1-0 result, came against Bianca Academy this past weekend.
