11 May 2018 – There’s nothing surprising about the early breakaway by the teams currently occupying the top spots in the Limpopo Sasol League, according to Simon Khoza and Moloko Maoto who are coaches of Chippas Ladies FC and Re Tla Dira Ladies FC respectively.

Khoza’s Chippas Ladies FC travels to Capricorn FET to face arguably the best ladies team in the province Ma-Indies Ladies FC who are on a perfect start to the season which saw them scoring a whopping 42 goals in just 5 games. Khoza meanwhile accepts is side are the underdogs.

“There’s no denying the fact that Ma-Indies have the best squad in the province. At the start of every season they collect all the best players from other teams and create a team of galacticos. We are one of those victimized by their recruitment policy and we are building yet again,” quetched Khoza.

“At least if we could keep the score margin at two or three it would be somewhat of an achievement for us if you compare the difference in quality between us and them,” added Khoza. “They have Noko [Matlou] and Lebo [Ramalepe] who are national team players and have a very strong influence into the team and uplifts all those other girls.”

Re Tla Dira Ladies are yet to collect any points after five games, conceding 16 goals while scoring only a single goal themselves. Their coach Moloko Maoto is also wary of his visitors form.

“We are currently going through a roughest patch, we had the worst start to the season one can ever imagine and to give us some one who haven’t dropped a point this season and hope to get even a point is somewhat asking for too much from the girls,” he admitted. “Realistically, we just have to control the damage becouse we know they are going to inflict some on us.”

In other fixtures, Kanatla Ladies welcomes second-place First Touch Academy. Botlokwa Ladies will be looking to pile more misery on newly promoted Samba Girls who are yet to win this season and Moria Sweepers will be looking to maintain their undefeated run when they welcome the Vhembe giants Tshandama Young Stars FC.
