7 May 2018 – The SAFA Cape Winelands region in the Western Cape organised the SAFA D Coaching Course as part of the regional skill and capacity program focusing on coaches from LFA Promotional League, Schools and SAB League to ensure the high standard of football in the region.

The five-day course facilitated by the Provincial Technical Director Mr. Boebie Williams and Deon Warley was hosted from Friday, 27 April and concluded on Tuesday, 1 May in Brandvlei near Rawsonville.

As part of the region’s goal of empowering up and coming coaches, SAFA Cape Winelands covered the course expenses which allowed for young aspirant coaches from five different Local Football Associations to attend the course.

As part of the Association’s Vision 2022 programme, the Association has since been on a vigorous drive to increase the pool of qualified coaches, referees and administrators to further improve the ever-increasing number of footballers in the country.
