24 April 2018 – Bloemfontein Young Tigers are determined to push log leaders, Mangaung Unite to the very end as both teams go for the final stretch in the Free State ABC Motsepe League. Unite and Tigers are joint leaders of the log tied on 67 points with Unite having a better goal difference over Tigers.
Both sides were in action this past weekend, registering high scores away from home with the title being decided on goal difference at the back of their minds.
Tigers put five past Days FC in a one-sided affair played at the Vuyo Charles Stadium in Thabong while Unite were ruthless in front of goal as they hammered Dla2 FC 7-0 to keep the title race exciting.
Anything less than a victory for Tigers in their last game of the season against Dikwena United will see United walking away with the title as they have two games in hand while on the other hand a victory over Kingston FC by United this coming Saturday will see them reaching an unassailable 70 points and being crowned champions of the Free State.
